He Is Faithful

Andy Park wrote and sang a song way back in the 90’s called Yahweh. It was one of those songs, by one of those worship people, in a time of great renewal that focused on Jesus and His character and was deeply, deeply moving. It ushered me into the presence of God time and time again.

I don’t know if you know this but sometimes when a psalmist sings a song they have written, a spontaneous prophetic piece erupts and it becomes part of the song. I have seen it happen a few times and I wonder if this is what happened to Andy. There is a piece when he seems to go into a different ‘place’ with the song and begins singing this:

You were faithful to Abraham you were faithful to Moses

You were Faithful to David and your faithful to us today

You’ve shown your faithfulness to all generations

We open our eyes to see glory and your beauty

We worship Yahweh

He who promised is faithful. That’s what it says in Hebrews 10:23. The security about our future has all to do with the character of God. He is faithful. He is the same yesterday, today and evermore; there is no shadow of changing in Him. If He said it, He will do it.

The writer to the Hebrews also tells us to be secure that we are clean and presentable inside and out, and that we should start confessing our hope. That means to speak out in agreement with another. There is power in speaking out in agreement with the prophecies and promises God has spoken over your life.

It is time to hold fast the hope for what He has said and believe in His faithfulness, not any opposition, delay or attack.

Stir up hope, stir up faith and believe He is good and His love endures forever.
